Yate & Sodbury District

Events

This section includes our monthly social meetings and also future dates for many of our groups.

All the following events are scheduled to take place in Chipping Sodbury Town Hall.

Speaker Meetings and Town Hall events

All speaker meetings are 2pm at Chipping Sodbury Town Hall.

The next speaker meeting

10th July 2026
2:00 pm
Town Hall Meeting
Steve Bird, The history of the Home Guard, Chipping Sodbury Town Hall, 2pm. Doors open 1:30pm.

As many of you will be aware, these Friday talks have proved increasingly popular with seating at a premium. In order to increase the number of seats available, the Committee has decided to dispense with the offering of refreshments. This will release significantly more space for chairs, whilst complying with the safety regulations in the Town Hall.

The doors open at 1:30pm and the talk starts at 2:00pm. It is suggested that members get there in plenty of time to avoid disappointment. It has also been decided to reserve the front row of seats for those Members with additional needs.
