The Group 5 ukulele and Absolute Beginners meet on Tuesdays in Tesco's Community Room.

Group 5 play from 1 to 3 pm, the Absolute Beginners follow on 3 to 4 pm, if there is a group tutoring course in progress.

The Absolute Beginners is a 12-week progressive course, which runs when there are sufficient interested participants. On completion the participants are then absorbed into Group 5,

Anyone interested in learning to play the ukulele from scratch should register their interest with Jojo to check when the next 12-week progressive course starts. Come along when invited to assess the best size of ukulele you require for learning, as we are all different and size matters for the best learning experience. It is best not to purchase a ukulele prior to being checked. 

Group 5 members have all completed the 12-week course and enjoy meeting up to play for fun, and lots of laughter! We play for 45 minutes, stop for a tea or coffee and a chat, then play on. We also participate in the u3a ukulele jams, play in Tesco's on Christmas Eve morning and other occasions, collecting donations for local good causes.
