Absolute Beginners Ukulele group takes place on Tuesdays, 1-2pm. Following on with the ukulele Group 5 session 2-3pm – although all may attend both sessions.

Both sessions take place in the Community Room, Tesco. Yate. All group participants are to meet at the Customer Service Desk and sign in there, 10 minutes before the start to be accompanied by Tesco staff to the room.

The beginners group includes the history of the ukulele, how to chose the right ukulele for each learner along with learning to play in a fun setting.

The aim of the meetings is to confidently be able to play the 10 most commonly occurring ukulele chords and change between them in time with the music.

All music will be provided. Bringing a small note pad and pen to the first meeting would be useful. Some ukuleles will be available to try at the first meeting.

This group cannot accommodate Banjos, or Bass ukuleles
