An introduction to 'Artificial Intelligence' and beyond
The Yate and Sodbury u3a has a thriving AI Group. Most members have taken part in our "Introduction to AI Course" which is now delivered in four one-hour sessions covering practical use of major AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude AI, as well as art and music tools like Midjourney and Suno. The course also looks at the wider effects of AI on society with topics like the advent of humanoid robots and self-driving cars. If you'd like to attend simply send a message here and you will be emailed when the next course dates are set.
The Introduction to AI course is not technical, and you do not need to bring any computer along with you. You will learn enough to use AI software at home between sessions if that is of interest. You can also simply come along to listen and then discuss AI. Beyond the course we hold some workshops and also meet monthly in an "AI News and Projects" Group. You can join that without going on the course first, but you will understand much more if you have attended. We look forward to meeting you.
