********🎨 New Thursday Art Group – Starting September 2026********
Following the popularity of our Tuesday Art Group, we're delighted to be launching a new Thursday morning group from 3 September 2026.
Led by Sue Sellers, the group will offer the same friendly, informal atmosphere where members can enjoy painting and drawing, share ideas and develop their skills at their own pace. All abilities are welcome.
Due to overwhelming demand the new group is now full. If you're interested in joining either the Thursday or Tuesday waiting list, please contact Mike Hayward via the link for further details.
No formal tuition is provided – members encourage and inspire one another in a relaxed, sociable environment.

About our Art Groups
We now have two friendly, informal art groups meeting each week at Yate Bowls Club. Our established Tuesday group meets from 10.00 am–12.00 pm and our new Thursday group also meets from 10.00 am–12.00 pm. Both welcome a wide range of abilities, from complete beginners to experienced artists.
What we do
Both groups follow the same friendly, informal format. We don’t offer formal tuition or supply materials; instead, members share tips, ideas and techniques. Many bring current work for informal feedback, or simply enjoy two focused hours to paint or draw in good company. The atmosphere is relaxed and uncompetitive—just a shared interest in making art.
When & where
The venue is light and spacious, and the ÂŁ2 per session fee covers room hire and running costs.

- February: Our second exhibition at Yate Heritage Centre with strong visitor feedback and 15 sales!
- March: Exhibtion at Cass Art shop in Bristol received many positive comments
